Silly Season Move

So I have been pretty quiet of late. That is because a lot of stuff has been happening all at once and now it is almost all organised. If I thought the Silly Season (read: Christmas) is normally busy will then this year has been madness.

Not only is it the end of the year and school is doing all sorts of fun things. I am off on a 3 day ski trip with my school tomorrow. But my Wife and I have just bought our first apartment. We get the keys to the place next Friday so lately everything has been about packing, sorting wallpaper and furnishings, and getting everything else done that needs to be finished so we can move.

Considering the fact that I came to Korea four years ago with only a suitcase and a carry-on bag, there is now no chance that I can get everything we own back into those two bags. Actually it is looking more like 10+ boxes as well as all the big stuff like the TV, sofa, bed, etc.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to help get the last stuff packed this weekend as I’ll l be up the snow (secretly thankful for that) but it means next week will be a blur of boxes and packing tape for me.

Hopefully everything will be finished before Christmas because my parents are flying in on the 22nd of December and they will be staying with us this time rather than in a love hotel (I still feel a little bad about that but at least they had a good chuckle). I am really looking forward to seeing them as we haven’t been able to get together since last Christmas.

So that is what I have been up to. I hope your Silly Season has been less crazy than mine.
